Parties Debate Whether Texas High Court Ruling Bars Claims Against Attorney

(September 21, 2015, 11:47 AM EDT) -- NEW ORLEANS — Parties in related securities fraud lawsuits asked the Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals recently to determine whether a recent Texas Supreme Court ruling requires dismissal of related securities fraud lawsuits stemming from the massive R. Allen Stanford Ponzi scheme based on the principle of attorney immunity (Proskauer Rose LLP, et al. v. Samuel Troice, et al., No. 15-10500, 5th Cir.).
