Florida Federal Judge Dismisses Complaint Over Cigarette Advertisements

Mealey's (April 16, 2018, 1:45 PM EDT) -- WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A federal judge in Florida on April 13 dismissed without prejudice a complaint against the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in which the plaintiff claimed that the agency violated the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) by allowing a cigarette company to advertise its cigarettes as natural because the plaintiff failed to establish causation and redressability (Justin Sproule v.
