Claims Trimmed In Overdraft Banking Fees Class Suit Against Navy FCU
Mealey's (April 13, 2018, 2:12 PM EDT) -- SAN DIEGO — Two consumers accusing a bank of improperly charging overdraft fees when sufficient funds are available in customers’ accounts may proceed with their breach of contract and conversion claims, a California federal judge ruled on April 12, dismissing the plaintiffs’ other claims and granting leave to amend (Jenna Lloyd, et al. v. Navy Federal Credit Union, No. 17-1280, S.D. Calif., 2018 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 62404).
