Suit Seeking Coverage For Water Damages Is Time-Barred, Massachusetts Panel Says

Mealey's (September 17, 2015, 2:37 PM EDT) -- BOSTON — An insured’s request to submit a coverage dispute to arbitration did not toll the statute of limitations for suing the insurers, the Massachusetts Appeals Court said Sept. 16 in affirming that the insured’s lawsuit is time-barred (Linda Hawley, et al. v. Preferred Mutual Insurance Co., No. 14-P-917, Mass. App.; 2015 Mass. App. LEXIS 147).
