Mealey's (September 17, 2015, 11:49 AM EDT) -- MIAMI — A federal judge in Florida on Sept. 14 granted in part and denied in part a motion for partial summary judgment filed by insureds in a third-party bad faith lawsuit, ruling that an insurer waived any policy-based defense to coverage when it paid out full benefits to the plaintiffs (Frank Lopez, as personal representative of the Estate of Giraldo Lopez, et al. v. Allstate Fire and Casualty Insurance Co., No. 14-20654, S.D. Fla.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 121993)....
