Consumer: Vendor’s Offer Of Complete Relief Doesn’t Moot Suit

(September 17, 2015, 11:03 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals was correct when it held that an offer of complete relief by a vendor that sent text messages on behalf of the U.S. Navy and was sued under the Telephone Consumers Protection Act (TCPA) did not moot the case, an individual who received one of the texts argues in a brief filed Aug. 24 in the U.S. Supreme Court (Campbell-Ewald Company v. Jose Gomez, No. 14-857, U.S. Sup.).
