Elder Abuse, Unfair Practices Claims Out Against Airline After Man Died On Flight

(March 19, 2018, 9:32 AM EDT) -- SAN FRANCISCO — A California federal judge on March 9 granted a motion to dismiss, in part, two of six counts against an airline, finding that the plaintiffs can’t prove that the airline had a “caretaking or custodial relationship” under California’s Elder Abuse and Dependent Adult Civil Protection Act with a man who died on a red-eye flight but that the plaintiffs may be able to prove an unfair business practice against the airline (Nicette Balukjian v.
