Manufacturing, Marketing Defect Claims Are Only Survivors In Hip Case

(September 16, 2015, 12:25 PM EDT) -- JACKSON, Miss. — A plaintiff’s injury claim stemming from a Howmedica Trident hip implant can move forward on her claims of manufacturing and marketing defects, but a Mississippi federal judge on Sept. 3 dismissed the remaining claims and denied the plaintiff’s motion to file another amended complaint (Frances Nause Riddell v. Howmedica Osteonics Corp., No. 14-705, S.D. Miss., Northern Div.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 117742).
