Federal Judge Tosses Suit Over Tribe’s Bid For California Gambling Funds
Mealey's (September 15, 2015, 1:02 PM EDT) -- SAN DIEGO — A California federal judge on Sept. 11 dismissed a lawsuit filed by a purported Indian tribe seeking millions of dollars in gambling revenue proceeds, citing a lack of subject matter jurisdiction and calling the action “an overt attempt to revisit past litigation” (California Valley Miwok Tribe v. The California Gambling Control Commission, et al., No. 3:15-cv-00622, S.D. Calif.).
