Law Firm, Attorneys Can Face Conspiracy Claims In Fraud Suit, Judge Rules

(September 15, 2015, 12:11 PM EDT) -- PHILADELPHIA — A federal judge in Pennsylvania on Sept. 14 granted in part a defendant law firm’s motion to dismiss an insurance fraud suit, ruling that while an insurance company could not pursue claims for negligent misrepresentation and violation of the Pennsylvania Insurance Fraud Statute, the company could pursue a claim for civil conspiracy (Church Mutual Insurance Company v. Alliance Adjustment Group, et al., No. 15-461, E.D. Pa.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 121852).
