Reinsurer Says Its Reinsurer Must Post $1 Million Pre-Pleading Security

(September 9, 2015, 11:52 AM EDT) -- NEW HAVEN, Conn. — A reinsurer told a federal court in Connecticut on June 30 that its reinsurer cannot avoid the state’s pre-pleading security statute and must post more than $1 million to cover the possible outcome of the case (Select Insurance Company v. Excalibur Reinsurance Corporation, f/k/a PMA Capital Insurance Company, No. 15-cv-00715, D. Conn.).
