Racecar Driver Says He Is Not Liable For Death Of Driver He Hit With His Car

(September 8, 2015, 9:44 AM EDT) -- ALBANY, N.Y. — Professional race car driver Tony Stewart, who is a defendant in a wrongful death lawsuit, on Aug. 28 filed an answer and a counterclaim in New York federal court, denying liability and asserting affirmative defenses that the other driver that Stewart hit with his car is liable for his own death because he exited his car and walked across the race track (Kevin A.
