(September 4, 2015, 12:53 PM EDT) -- ANNAPOLIS, Md. — A Maryland appeals court on Aug. 27 dismissed an appeal filed by the family members of a former electrician who alleged that asbestos and cigarette smoke exposure caused his lung cancer, finding that the appeal was rendered moot when the trial court dismissed tobacco-related defendants from the case without leave to refile (Douglas Stidham, etc., et al. v.
