Judge: Resident’s Evidence ‘Insufficient’ In Fracking FOIA Request Lawsuit

(September 2, 2015, 3:20 PM EDT) -- COLUMBUS, Ohio — A federal judge in Ohio on Aug. 31 dismissed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, ruling that the resident who brought the case, in an effort to access documents pertaining to permits for hydraulic fracturing, had insufficient evidence to show that she should be allowed to see the documents in question (Leatra Harper v.
