Federal Judge Finds Swing And Hazardous Conditions May Have Caused Fall
(September 2, 2015, 8:34 AM EDT) -- SEATTLE — A Washington federal judge on Aug. 21 denied a motion filed by property owners for summary judgment on injury-related claims asserted against them, finding that a genuine issue of fact exists as to whether a swing and unsafe conditions at a playground caused a man to suffer a fall that resulted in paralysis (Jinhua Meng, et. al. v. Essex Property Trust Inc., et al., No. 14-1227, W.D. Wash.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 111137).
