Judge Denies Class Status To Group In Electronic Cigarette Deception Lawsuit

(September 1, 2015, 10:43 AM EDT) -- LOS ANGELES — A federal judge in California on Aug. 14 denied class certification to a group of plaintiffs who contended that they were misled by deceptive advertising by a maker of electronic cigarettes that contended that they were safer than smoking traditional cigarettes (In Re: NJOY Inc. Consumer Class Action Litigation, No. 14-00428, C.D. Calif.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 109133).
