9th Circuit Allows Tribe To Recoup Water Diverted By Nevada Water District

Mealey's (September 28, 2017, 8:49 AM EDT) -- SAN FRANCISCO — A Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel on Sept. 13 ruled that a Nevada Native American tribe is entitled to recoup 8,300 acre-feet of water that was diverted by the Truckee-Carson Irrigation District (TCID) in 1985 and 1986, bringing what the appeals court hopes is finality to a 12-year-old water case (United States of America, et al. v.
