Pennsylvania Board Dismisses Some Residents From Appeal Of Fracking Permit Approval

(August 26, 2015, 11:47 AM EDT) -- HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Environmental Hearing Board (EHB) on Aug. 21 dismissed some of the parties appealing the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) decision to grant a permit to a hydraulic fracturing company, ruling that because they failed to file post-hearing briefs, they waived their appeal on procedural grounds (Richard L. Stedge v. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, et al., No. 2014-042, Pa. EHB).
