Federal Judge Stays Insurer’s Suit Seeking ACA Risk-Corridor Funds
(July 14, 2017, 1:32 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — A federal judge on July 11 stayed an insurer’s case challenging the government’s failure to make full payments under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) risk-corridor program, saying judicial economy warranted waiting until an appellate court can rule on nearly identical facts and legal issues (HPHC Insurance Company Inc. v.
