Plaintiffs Tell 8th Circuit ACA Birth-Control Mandate Violates Religious Rights

Mealey's (June 12, 2015, 12:34 PM EDT) -- ST. LOUIS — Recent actions by appellate courts and the U.S. Supreme Court confirm that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) birth-control mandate unacceptably burdens religious beliefs, especially in light of the availability of alternative means for the government to accomplish its goals, plaintiffs told the Eighth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on July 22, 2014 (Sharpe Holdings Inc., et al. v. United States Department of Health & Human Services, et al., No. 14-1507, 8th Cir.).
