California Federal Judge Dismisses 3 Counterclaims In Inventorship Dispute

(February 10, 2017, 4:43 PM EST) -- SAN FRANCISCO — A California federal judge on Jan. 31 dismissed three counterclaims in a dispute over inventorship after determining that two of the counterclaims are preempted by the California Uniform Trade Secrets Act (CUTSA) and another fails to prove that any acts of misappropriation occurred after the Defend Trade Secrets Act of 2016 (DTSA) was implemented (Avago Technologies U.S. Inc., et al. v. nanoPrecision Products Inc., No. 16-03737, N.D.
