Fracking Company: Groups’ Lease Dispute Claim Against U.S. Government Fails

Mealey's (August 6, 2015, 1:55 PM EDT) -- SALT LAKE CITY — A hydraulic fracturing company that is an intervener-defendant in a lease dispute between a collection of environmental groups and the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) on Aug. 5 filed a brief in Utah federal court contending that the groups’ complaint fails to state a claim for which relief can be granted (Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance, et al. v. U.S. Department of the Interior, et al., No. 15-00194, D. Utah).
