Self-Insured Prescription Plan Can’t Escape ACA Ban On Benefit Caps, Judge Says

Mealey's (August 6, 2015, 11:44 AM EDT) -- NEW YORK — A self-insured benevolent association’s prescription drug plan falls under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA)’s prohibition on lifetime and annual spending caps, a federal judge in New York held Aug. 4 (Norman Seabrook, et al. v. Barak Obama, et al., No. 14-4431, S.D. N.Y.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 101944).
