Government Appeals Order Requiring Disclosure Of ACA Policy Information

(January 17, 2017, 12:57 PM EST) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently challenged a judge’s finding that the agency’s failure to timely produce data on Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) exchange policy co-payments, deduction amounts and benefits descriptions violated the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).  Briefing in the agency’s appeal to the District of Columbia Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals is slated to begin Feb. 13 (Center for the Study of Services d/b/a Consumers’ Checkbook v.
