Judgment For OB/GYN Upheld In Birthing Injury Lawsuit

Mealey's (December 20, 2016, 7:35 AM EST) -- ANNAPOLIS, Md. — A mother whose son sustained a severe and permanent injury while being born failed to show that her doctor or doctor’s practice failed to provide informed consent prior to the delivery, a Maryland Court of Special Appeals panel ruled Dec. 6, rejecting the mother’s claims that she proved her case and that the trial court abused its discretion when it quashed her subpoena of a defense expert (Chimere Harper, as mother and next friend of Joshua Harper, a minor v.
