(December 6, 2016, 1:23 PM EST) -- PHOENIX — The City of Phoenix asked Arizona’s top court to accept review and reverse a holding freeing the “real wrongdoers” from the obligation to indemnify the government in an asbestos suit. A phalanx of third-party builders and developers told the court in response that the statute of repose clearly barred liability for conduct occurring almost five decades ago and that there was nothing remarkable about the case that required intervention (City of Phoenix v.
