House Wants Stay Of Appellate Court Fight Over ACA Funding

(December 2, 2016, 7:58 AM EST) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The House of Representatives has asked a federal appeals court to stay an appeal involving the executive branch’s use of Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) funds, saying in a Nov. 28 brief to the District of Columbia Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals that the administration paints the case as unprecedented because it cannot refute public policy and judicial efficiency reasons for granting relief (United States House of Representatives v.
