11th Circuit Panel Reverses $938,234 Attorney Fees Award To Moe’s Franchisor

(November 16, 2016, 11:35 AM EST) -- ATLANTA — An 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel on Nov. 15 reversed the award of $938,234.90 in attorney fees to Moe’s Southwest Grill, saying that a federal judge erred in finding that the claims of Moe’s franchisees that they overpaid and continue to overpay for food, supplies and other goods and services used in their franchise operations arose from or related to market development agreements (MDAs) signed by the parties (Edward Tronnes, et al. v.
