Consumer Appeals Ruling That Use Of Oil Does Not Violate Federal Law

Mealey's (November 10, 2016, 1:52 PM EST) -- SAN DIEGO — A purchaser of microwaveable sandwiches that contain hydrogenated oil (PHO) food products on Nov. 9 appealed a decision to the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals in which a California federal judge dismissed her claims for violation of California's unfair competition law (UCL) and various other claims against the sandwich maker (Shavonda Hawkins, on behalf of herself and all other similarly situated v.
