Certiorari Denied For Native Americans Seeking Land For Reservation

Mealey's (November 8, 2016, 11:59 AM EST) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Supreme Court on Nov. 7 denied a petition for certiorari filed by six Native Americans who lost their bid to prosecute trespass and ejectment claims against three Minnesota counties and an Indian tribe so they could establish their own reservation (Sheldon Peters Wolfchild, et al. v. Redwood County, Minnesota, et al., No. 16-286, U.S. Sup.).
