Trustee Tells Court Motion To Dismiss Fracking Lease Dispute Is ‘Moot’

Mealey's (November 1, 2016, 2:34 PM EDT) -- TULSA, Okla — The trustee of an irrevocable trust on Oct. 27 filed a brief in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, arguing that a motion for summary judgment filed by a hydraulic fracturing company with regard to a blanket oil mining lease with the Osage Tribe of Indians in Oklahoma that affected land owned by the trust is “moot” (Lyman Gilbert Lenker, Trustee of the Virginia Lenker Irrevocable Trust v. Sally Jewell, et al., No. 16-cv-532, N.D. Okla.).
