(October 26, 2016, 1:17 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — Individuals acquiring health insurance through the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplaces received a mixed bag of news on Oct. 24, with many reports focusing on the fact that premiums on the exchange will rise an average of 25 percent, while government officials stressed that subsidies mean many people will not feel the impact of those increases and that the median increase is just 16 percent.
