(October 25, 2016, 12:44 PM EDT) -- SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — In an Oct. 20 divided opinion, the Illinois Supreme Court reversed an intermediate appellate court and affirmed a trial court’s grant of summary judgment to a railroad company in a negligence and premises liability action, finding that there are no issues of material fact to preclude summary judgment (Patrick Joseph Carney v.
