Attorney Was Improperly Joined In Bad Faith Suit, Federal Judge Rules

(October 21, 2016, 1:30 PM EDT) -- SAN ANTONIO — Remand of an insurance breach of contract and bad faith lawsuit to state court is not proper because an attorney was improperly joined in the litigation and, thus, must be dismissed from the action, a federal judge in Texas ruled Oct. 12 (Amanda Montoya, et al. v. State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co., et al., No. 16-00005, W.D. Texas; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 141322).
