Connecticut Judge Declines To Enjoin 17.4 Percent ACA Policy Rate Hike

(October 18, 2016, 1:40 PM EDT) -- NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — A Connecticut judge on Sept. 9 denied an insurer’s attempt to enjoin implementation of a 17.4 percent rate hike on plans offered through the state’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) insurance exchange while it sought a 27.1 percent increase (Connecticare Benefits Inc. v. Katherine L. Wade, Commissioner of the Connecticut Insurance Department, No. HHB-CV-16-6034746S, Conn. Super., New Britain Jud. Dist., Admin. App.; 2016 Conn. Super. LEXIS 2393).
