Nooksack Judge Bars Appellate Services Firm From Taking Cases, Enforcing Orders

Mealey's (October 12, 2016, 1:41 PM EDT) -- DEMING, Wash. — A Nooksack Tribal Court judge issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) Oct. 7 enjoining the company that operates the tribe’s appellate court from enforcing several pending orders in a dispute over the disenrollment of more than 300 tribal members and from accepting cases that are not appeals of Tribal Court decisions (Nooksack Indian Tribe v. Northwest Intertribal Court System, et al., No. 2016-CI-CL-006, Nooksack Tribal).
