Supreme Court Won’t Hear Wrongful Death Benzene Case Against Gasoline Companies

Mealey's (October 11, 2016, 12:42 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Supreme Court on Oct. 11 refused to hear a widow’s appeal in her wrongful death lawsuit against gasoline companies that she contended were liable for her husband’s death due to his exposure to benzene (Yolande Burst v. Shell Oil Company, et al., No. 16-241, U.S. Sup.).
