Judge Orders Home Health Care Agency To Pay $6.1M For Fraudulent Billing

(October 6, 2016, 8:10 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — A federal judge in the District of Columbia on Sept. 23 ordered a home health care agency to pay $6.1 million for violating the False Claims Act (FCA) by submitting claims to D.C. Medicaid for services that were not provided or authorized and forging physician’s signatures (United States of America v. Speqtrum Inc, No. 10-2111, D. D.C.).
