Judge: Fracking Interest Group May Intervene In Dispute Over Local Well Ordinance

Mealey's (October 4, 2016, 1:56 PM EDT) -- PITTSBURGH — A Pennsylvania federal judge on Sept. 30 ruled that a hydraulic fracturing trade group had the right to file an intervenor complaint in the ongoing dispute between another fracking company and a Pennsylvania municipality over the constitutionality of a local ordinance that prohibits underground injection control wells (Pennsylvania General Energy Company LLC v. Grant Township, No. 14-209, W.D. Pa.).
