Judge Rejected Argentina's Request To Set Aside $20M ICSID Award

Mealey's (October 3, 2016, 2:12 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — A District of Columbia federal judge on Sept. 30 found that an international tribunal was not biased and did not exceed its authority when it issued a $20,957,809 arbitral award in favor of a United Kingdom company, denying an application filed by the Republic of Argentina to set aside the award and granting the company's cross-petition to confirm (The Republic of Argentina v. AWG Group Ltd., No. 1:15-cv-01057, D. D.C.).
