California Court Says Borrower Lacked Standing To Challenge Foreclosure

Mealey's (October 4, 2016, 12:53 PM EDT) -- RIVERSIDE, Calif. —  A California appeals court on Sept. 19 affirmed a trial court's dismissal of a borrower's claims against lenders in relation to a loan, finding that the borrower lacked standing to challenge a nonjudicial foreclosure of the property (Norma Salinas v. Bank of New York Mellon, et al., No. E060651, Calif. App., 4th Dist., Div. 2; 2016 Cal. App. Unpub. LEXIS 6843).
