Groundwater Accommodation Ruling By Texas Supreme Court Won’t Get Rehearing

(September 23, 2016, 3:26 PM EDT) -- AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Supreme Court on Sept. 23 denied a motion by the City of Lubbock to reconsider the court’s May ruling extending the accommodation doctrine to owners of groundwater rights (Coyote Lake Ranch, LLC v. The City of Lubbock, No. 14-0572, Texas Sup.).

No opinion was issued in the denial.
