Nevada Federal Judge Dismisses Tribes, Officials From Grazing Dispute

Mealey's (July 15, 2015, 12:46 PM EDT) -- RENO, Nev. — A federal judge in Nevada on July 13 dismissed two Indian tribes with prejudice and three tribal officials without prejudice from a livestock corporation’s suit over alleged violations of federal grazing permits, saying the tribes had not waived sovereign immunity and that the immunity extended to the tribal officials (South Fork Livestock Partnership v.
