Groups May Challenge Plan For Fracking On Federal Land, Judge Rules

(September 8, 2016, 12:55 PM EDT) -- LOS ANGELES — A federal judge in California on Sept. 6 ruled that two environmental advocacy groups have standing to challenge a land management plan devised by federal agencies that would have opened thousands of acres of federal land to hydraulic fracturing (Los Padres ForestWatch, et al. v. United States Bureau of Land Management, et al., 15-04378, C.D. Calif.).
