Home Depot Moves To Dismiss Financial Institutions’ Data Breach Claims

Mealey's (July 9, 2015, 2:19 PM EDT) -- ATLANTA — One month after it moved to dismiss a complaint brought against it by a putative class of consumer plaintiffs in a consolidated class action over a 2014 data breach, Home Depot Inc. on July 1 filed a similar motion to dismiss a group of financial institution plaintiffs, asserting, as it had in the previous motion, that they failed to plead a concrete particularized injury (In re: The Home Depot Inc., Customer Data Security Breach Litigation, No. 1:14-md-02583, N.D. Ga.).
