Judge Denies Class Status To Residents In Fracking Royalty Dispute

(September 6, 2016, 12:54 PM EDT) -- ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A federal judge in New Mexico on Aug. 16 denied class certification to a group of landowners and leaseholders who had sued a group of hydraulic fracturing companies alleging that the companies had underpaid royalties.
