Product Defects, False Labeling And Bait-And-Switch Complaints Hit Federal Courts

(September 1, 2016, 11:02 AM EDT) -- Recent class action lawsuits filed in federal courts across the country include complaints alleging touchscreen defects in Apple’s iPhones, false labeling of carbonated beverages, bait-and-switch pricing and privacy invasion.

Three consumers filed a class complaint on Aug. 27 in a California federal court accusing Apple Inc. of knowing about iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus touchscreen defects but refusing to repair the cell phones for free (Thomas Davidson, et al. v. Apple, Inc., No. 16-4942, N.D. Calif.).
