BLM Opposes Indian Tribe’s Attempt To Intervene In Fracking Regulation Case

Mealey's (July 8, 2015, 12:34 PM EDT) -- CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM), which was sued by a group of states opposing new federal regulations regarding hydraulic fracturing on federal lands, on July 1 filed a brief in Wyoming federal court arguing that it has authority to implement the new rule based on mineral leasing acts governing Indian lands (State of Wyoming v. U.S. Department of the Interior, et al., No. 15-00043, D. Wyo.).
