Mealey's (July 7, 2015, 8:56 AM EDT) -- EL PASO, Texas — A high school basketball coach had no reasonable expectation of privacy in his half-time and post-game locker room speeches to his team, a Texas appeals panel found June 30, reversing a trial court’s conviction of a woman under Texas’ criminal wiretap statute for recording and disseminating the coach’s speeches (Wendee Long v. The State of Texas, No. 08-13-00334, Texas App., 8th Dist.; 2015 Tex. App. LEXIS 6714).
