Reliance Liquidator Recommends Allowance Of $8 Million In Claims

(August 24, 2016, 3:37 PM EDT) -- HARRISBURG, Pa. — The liquidator of Reliance Insurance Co. asked a Pennsylvania court on Aug. 23 to approve a report and recommendation regarding more than $8 million of claims (In re: Reliance Insurance Company in Liquidation, No. 1 REL 2001, Pa. Cmwlth.).

Reliance was ordered into liquidation by the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court on Oct. 3, 2001, and the state’s insurance commissioner was appointed as liquidator.
